How do I volunteer?
The best way to get started is to fill out the form at the top of this page. There are many ways to serve at BE Free and we'd love to hear about your interests and abilities. Once you fill out the form, we'll have a ministry leader reach out to you. Don't worry - filling out the form does NOT commit you to volunteering in any area, it just lets us know that you'd like more info!
How do I volunteer with kids or teens?
Step one is to let us know you're interested! Fill out the form above and we'll get your info to our ministry leaders. You can indicate what experience you may have working with kids/teens, but it's ok if you're a beginner. You can also let us know if there's a specific area in which you'd like to serve: nursery, kids church, recess, etc. A ministry leader will reach out to you to answer questions and talk more. We're committed to safety in our kids and teen ministries - we perform a background check on every volunteer and require review of our safety policies and participation in training.
Do I need experience to volunteer in the sound booth?
Short answer: NO! We are happy to train you to volunteer in the sound booth. We understand it can feel intimidating to try something new, but our sound booth is set up to be as user-friendly as possible. In fact, most of our current volunteers had little or no previous experience! We hope you'll consider trying something new and joining our awesome A/V team!
How do I volunteer with music?
First, you'll fill out the form above to let us know you're interested - you can indicate whether you're interested in singing, playing an instrument, or both. Then we'll let our worship coordinator know and she'll get in touch with you. We typically ask new worship team members to audition and attend a couple of practice sessions before playing for the congregation.
How do I volunteer with men's or women's ministries?
We can always use more help! Whether it's facilitating a Bible Study or book group, helping with special events, or helping with communications and other administrative tasks, there are many ways to be involved! Fill out the form above, and we'll have a ministry leader reach out to you.
What if I'm not sure where I should get involved?
Want to be more involved in the ministries of BE Free, but aren't sure where you belong? Pastor Kevin would love to talk with you and help you determine where God might be calling you to serve. Just fill out the question form below and he'll get back to you as soon as he's able!
